Hello, my name is malcolm, i'm retired from 10 years as a mechanic, 25 years as an heavy equipment operator and 9 years as an offset pressman/repair tech. I learned to stick weld and gas weld many years ago from my father and uncle. Most of my working life i didn't do much welding as it was usually someone else's job to do and the unions don't like people to do others jobs. I have built numerous hot rods over the years and most of that welding i did stick or gas. While working as a mechanic i was introduced to mig welding and liked it very much. When i retired i purchased a craftsman mig welder and have been using it on my projects. There are some things i seem to have problems with and hope i can learn solutions and better techniques here.

Welcome to WT&T Malcolm! Jump right into the Mig Forum and ask away, lots of helpful folks here.
Go break something, then you can weld it back the right way.
