Hey y'all. Just doing the intro thing. I'm currently in welding school. I started December 2nd. 9 month program. I got my structural plate cert for stick a week or so ago and I am taking my 6G test tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!

CScalf,
Welcome to the forum! You should be able to find a lot of references on here for your 6G. Good luck taking your test!

Just a couple welders and a couple of big hammers and torches.

Thanks everyone! I didn't get to test today like planned. Had some other things going on. But I did get it all welded up. Just gotta cap it tomorrow then we'll cut her up and give her the ole bendaroo....

I passed! Got my 6G pipe cert. Also stayed for the night class and knocked Mig out. Got my flux core test piece welded also. Gotta grind it in the morning then bend it. I feel pretty comfortable that it will pass as well. Then on to Tig!!!

LOL that was exactly what did it! Flux core passed as I thought it would. Got my tig torch and set everything up and it was time to leave...just my luck that I didn't even get to light up! Oh well I guess I will get to on Monday. Gives me the weekend to watch some educational tips from Jody
