Hi guys, I discovered Jody's video series on Youtube about a month ago which brought me here.

I'm a longtime woodworker and science nerd, with some experience stick welding general repair type of stuff around the house. I started to work more with metal for hobby projects when I picked up a lathe last year (no mill probably until I move and have more space) and I've always wanted to get into tig welding. So last week I decided to take the plunge and ordered one up.

Looking forward to learning a lot of things from the old-timers, and the new guys who are just better than me

Thanks Jasper - yeah, my problem has always been that I'm about as sharp as a sack of wet mice.

Nothing wrong with mice.
Orville was the first 'Electronaut'. http://jnaudin.free.fr/lifters/orville/
He got to fly in Jean-Louis Naudin's high voltage lifter vehicle.
