Just to say hi to y'all. I'm a bit of a newbie to forums but have been welding for 35 years. Just got back into TIG, my favourite, after 17 yrs! Have been pro on & off, but welding for a hobby now. Recently bought a Murex/ESAB Tradestig AC220a. Can't believe what something the size of a PC can do - unbelievable! Last TIG'd on a miller that was the size of a fridge. These new sets are awesome. Still figuring out all the settings, but it's fun messin'. Now awaiting delivery of a foot switch. Never used a hand switch before and I don't like the lack of contrrol - like driving a car without a throttle! Wierd. Anyway, looking forward to talking b*ll*cks with like minded - must get out more!.
