New Member Introduction

Hello all, I just stumbled into the site today & immediately decided to register. I am an Agricultural Mechanics Teacher in West Virginia. I teach 9th through 12th grade; everything from carpentry & engine maintenance to welding, plumbing & electrical wiring. I don't claim to be an expert... more of a "Jack of all trades." It looks like this will be a terrific resource for project ideas & questions that come up in my classes. I know that I've got a lot to learn myself & will probably be lurking around the forum for the next several days.

Welcome!

You'll find there are several other instructors here, including one in particular who teaches Ag mechanics and is quite active.

You'll find resources here for anything welding, as well as specific support from other teachers.

He's from Gassaway, WV., must be a lot of AG's breaking down in WV. that they need to train all those AG mechanics.

It has an exit off I-79 or it would still have a populations of about 8. It still only has one family tree though, a pencil.

What is ironic is the fact that Gassaway is the home of the headquarters for Go Mart gas stations. You can say we are good at giving gas away lol. Don't worry the Gassaway jokes won't bother me I married into this town, my home town gets picked on worse.

Today at work,a fellow my age and I were discussing the keel-laying ceremony for the USS Bob Hope, and a twenty-something asked, "Who the hell is Bob Hope?"

There was a show with some wierd things on it that was called "Ripley's believe it or not" which aired in the 70's and 80's.

I feel I was the one who officially highjacked your thread and for that I do apologize, sorry. Sometimes we get carried away with the wise cracks.

Welcome to the forum. If you can get past the occasional highjacking you'll be able to find a lot of useful info here.

Yes, Matt, it's me... Believe it or Not for the rest! Good to see that you're on here too.

No Apologies necessary & don't worry about hijacking the original post. I didn't make it back to the site until today & am glad to see that there is some life here. I've been to other sites where nobody even replies to the new member intros.

I look forward to gleaning as much info as I can from here. I'm sure Matt will agree, high school students need as many good project ideas as we can get.
