New member here, bit of background in U.K. In the seventies you could leave school at 15 years of age if you had job to go to, I cheated as birthday was in August so started work at 14 1/2 first job was stripping down and soldering together automotive radiators that led to my first experience of welding! I will explain the rest when allowed to. OH by the way I am 59 now and every day I look forward to picking up a tig, mig, mma, or standard oxy/act torch and spend the rest of day welding, brazing, silver soldering or soft soldering. Itis something about putting things back together (correctly) that spurs me on. As I read once "if your not chasing the perfect weld put the torch away".
