G'day everybody. I'm Doc from Australia
I'm a wooden toymaker who wants to learn some basic welding (stick and flux core) so I can make various jobs on my property easier for me to do.
I look forward to 'meeting' everybody and a big thank you in anticipation.
Regards
Doc

The 58 refers to the year of my birth. Usually forums (fora??) already have somebody named Doc
Also, I'm from mid north rural South Australia.

Welcome Doc.
5 hours north? I used to regularly go up just past Orroroo, from memory that was 4 or 5 hours. Nice and toasty up your way today, only 41 degrees C where I am right now.

(threadjack)
Was riding Eastern Creek last year for a full day in 36 degrees, full leathers. Had to wear unvented suit (long story.) Now that was proper hot. Especially afterwards, catching the train in to Marrickville...still wearing said leathers...

Been there done that... except the train ride, that'd be horrible.
Imagine what it must be like at those temps doing a full race
5-7 laps is one thing, but 30-40+

We're neighbours
Nearly snorted my coffee at Porta gutta. Seems nothing changes over the years.
