Hello,
I found this forum while searching for info trying to figure out what gas I need for the MIG wire feed welder I just picked up.
I’ve done a fair amount of oxy/acet torch welding and cutting over the years. I’ve been curious about wire feed welders and now I finally have one. A Lincoln Pro-Mig 140 which should handle most of my needs once I learn how to use it.
Initial projects will be to add some spacers to a steel utility trainer rear drop down gate/ramp, and to reposition the gate latches.
I also want to learn how to weld aluminum. I have a couple bicycle racks with broken tubing welds. I also want to play around with welding thin wall chro-moly tubing and work on some other projects for cycling.
And I’m sure there will be hundreds of other stuff to use the welder for as well.
Anyway, I look forward to learning, looks like a nice site.
