Just Saying Hey To Everyone

Names Jake, I've been a Local 265 Sheet Metal Worker for almost 15 years now. Done all kinds of different welding (mostly mig and tig) on all kinds of different projects. Aside from work I do some custom bike fabrication and roll cage/chassis work. I enjoy engineering and fabricating all kinds of stuff though. Quite knowledgeable in sheet metal fabrication and welding technics used in that industry. Also draw on AutoCAD but am in no way a pro. I can get done what I need though it seems.

Anywho, I found this site on a search and instantly bought Jody's Tig Finger. Those things are a great tool. Totally helped out on all my overhead tig welds. I love welding because its a never ending learning process. I look forward to any help I can get when need be and if I can help someone out then I'll give my best input. Thanks again, and I'm sure I'll be talking to you all soon.

Jake,

Your sheetmetal knowledge will be immediately helpful to some. We've a number of folk who are honing their welding skills for auto restoration, and the ability to weld thin sections without warping the s#!t out of it is in high demand!

I agree welding is a never-ending learning curve (Like NASCAR? TURN LEFT!), and when I quit learning I'll be pushing up daiseys...

Welcome!
