I like some of you learned to weld in high school shop class, back in the 60's . I do not remember knowing the difference between a 6013, 6010, or 7018. I could strike an arc and run a bead. I welded on things on the farm over the years, always using my fathers 230 buz box AC. Recently I purchased a small DC unit and started to learn about different rods and approaches. Several of the people on the youtube have been a great help in getting me up to speed and I have been reading many post on the forum before I registered as this is a good place to learn. Already learned some very valuable information on safty. Thanks a lot
Tom

Hey there.
Welcome to the show. You will find that this is an awesome resource for all things welding and metal. Feel free to post anything you like or ask anything you like.

Welcome Tom, glad you found us.
As for "information on safety", the only "important" one to me is "don't set yourself on fire".
Just set my "Blue" fire proof jacket on fire this past weekend.
If you need any help
just give us a shout.
