Hi all.
I gas weld both steel and aluminum, and have taken classes in MIG and TIG at a local trade school. I am considering the purchase of a new TIG rig and have looked at both Lincoln and Miller. Both will cost over 4000 dollars. I have also looked at Everlast and Longevity. Both are much cheaper, less than 2000 dollars. I'm leaning toward the Longevity 200EX. I've e-mailed Longevity about the suspicious reviews that it has received but they have not sent me a reply yet so I continue to hold off on any purchase. Any specific advice?

My advice to you, and to all our readers, is....
Buy the best you can, take care of it, and remember,
"the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweet taste of low price is forgotten".....

Your money man....
Welcome, and let us know what you decide.... :)

pierdole,
Welcome to the forum! I personally have no experience with Longevity or Everlast welders, so I would have to say either Lincoln or Miller would be a good choice. For TIG I stick with Miller out of personal preference.
