Hi been reading the forums for about a month at work now. I have a pretty decent welding background and have just received a new Everlast 255ext from my awesome fiancé. Have been welding off and on for close to 25 years. Got into wet welding offshore for a bit. Didn't pay as well as other divisions of diving (the whole underwater welders make $100.00 an hour is a lie. It was frustrating to find out that the pipeline/barge welders made more per hour then the top wet welders at our former company) so although it was fun I choose to make the most I could doing other types of comercial diving. Anyway have extensive arc welding background and qualified for 6gr etc etc. And did alot of oxygen acetylene in high school vote tech. I have never had gotten the chance to tig weld until now. Well soon as I have another week to go till I get home from offshore. And this forum has been a great assistance in my purchases and preparation to get started in learning the art of tig. Looking forward to learning more from all you guys and sharing what ever info that I can to help you all. Thanks
