Welding Tips and Tricks

Hey, folks.

Longtime MIG welder, with some very minor dabbling in stick. Looking to expand that into GTAW/SMAW, so I'm here soaking up information. Not looking to weld battleship plating, just learning TIG with a eye towards sanitary stainless in the future once I put in a couple (hundred?) hours or practice.

I've got startup equipment questions, but I'll put them in the appropriate board.

You've come to the right place. We have several here with lots of sanitary experience. We also have several professional instructors.

I'd shudder to think of the years of accumulated experience and knowledge in every imaginable facet of welding you can pick freely from.
