Fixing a crack in an extruder casing over head! Is this the wrong rod to weld overhead with! I’m having a heck of a time with this rod!

Description from the manufacturer pdf says travel in an upward progression. That indicated to me it is an all position rod. It’s high nickel rod so it may be that it just welds very different from what your used to. I would recommend stringers only no side to side weave.
I have more questions than answers

That’s a much more descriptive link than the one I found! It shows vertical up but not overhead.
I have more questions than answers
