Hello. I just joined the online forum and would like some feedback about a welder I purchased. I bought a accurate tools
welder on ebay. I was stick welding for only the second time and it overheated. The fan stopped working and it would not strike an arc. I had to send it back to the seller at my cost. And after repair I will have to pay shipping back to me. Has anyone had similar problems with this same welder. I knew it was Chinese, but I needed something I could afford to practice for certs. Any info. would be appreciated.

Welcome, labier3000,

I've not heard of that machine. It's not been discussed here before.

I'm sorry for your bad experience.

Welding equipment is all over the place in price vs. quality. Some high-dollar welders have problems, and some bargains are real winners. It's wise not only to seek reviews on the product itself, but to follow up on bad reviews or problem reports, to find out how the outfit handles problems such as yours.

I hope you can get some satisfaction on the issue. I believe e-bay has a way to get your money back.

Yes, that's the company. Their website is very simple and they have never returned an email from my. Even the ebay seller that I sent the welder back to doesn't provide his/her name, just the ebay seller name. This strikes me as shady and unprofessional. Makes me want to sell welders on Ebay and provide great customer support. I could probably make a mint.
Anyway, you're not going to find much on them. Thanks for responding. It is a waiting game now to see if I will have my welder repaired or replaced.

Thanks for responding. I just sent my welder back to the ebay seller. Now it's a waiting game. The seller doesn't seem to want to contact me other than through ebay. I hope to get some good info. from this forum. Thanks, John

Thanks for responding. I just sent my welder back to the ebay seller for replacement or repair, now it's a waiting game. I was hoping to have some welding time in by now. If you ever decide to buy a welder off of ebay, contact the seller before hand. I have had little contact with my seller. I find that shady and unprofessional. Thanks, John L.
