Ok.
Fellow WTAT members,
Here is my $0.02 , treat it like you would any $0.02.
I posted these two threads, one with 7018, latter with 7024.
I just think it's cool that the slag peels up on welds.
Many people post pics of the welds, but not the slag.
I am 100% aware that these aren't strait, toes straight as a ruler welds.
They are run on my piece of scrap metal that I run misc rods on.
I've been putting off getting some beveled plates, and doing mockup welding tests.
Stay tuned.
Back to the trouble at hand.
All us "senior" members, if you will, it's all good natured ribbing.
We all respect each other, and have our own opinions, and unique sense of humors.
This is a great, troll and ignore list free forum.
We are upright and honest in our posts, at least we try and be....
If you read many of our "new members needs help threads", you'll see where a bunch of helpful guys, just sharing our knowledge, and adding to it.
If there's a problem, we respectfully deal with it, and move on.
Remember,
To get respect, you must give respect.
Ok,
Sermon over.
Happy Father's Day, and have a great afternoon.
~John

Just a couple welders and a couple of big hammers and torches.

Very well said, EVERYONE!
I can see how a post or two here, when taken out of context, could sound like "bashing" or "flaming", and humor in text is a difficult thing to see, especially when the context extends over six months or more, and multiple topics.
I'm not going to suggest anyone censor themselves to avoid this, and I apparently don't have to ask anyone to be aware it can happen and help straighten out any misunderstanding.
The posts clearing this matter, and clarifying our mission, show what a great community this is.
