New here, but have followed videos and info from this forum. Having a hard time finding info on my new 280 dx with 6010.
Never had a problem with stick on other welders , transformer based. running 65 amps 1/8 to keep the pudle controlable and not blowing thru material, 1/8-3/16. used dig at 65%, recomended for 6010 but worked better off. No problem with Bobcat 80-90 amps. is it me or do i just have a new learning curve on this unit. Tig on this unit is great

Thanks,

Hi corky ! I have a 200DX but on my machine i run it hotter closer to 85 amps and just move at a consistent speed. I've recently started using a small circle progressive pattern with 6010. Well atleast on 1/8. What problems r u having? Just blowing thru? Id just make sure u moving at a steady speed. I don't know exactly on 1/8" material if 65 amps will do it? Probably but I think id be more worried about running cold. Have u tried turning ti dig down a little? I like it higher like 70-75. personally.
