Hi Guys I'm about to buy a inverter machine DC only (Everlast 160) and I wonder if I can run Ac electrodes with it, If a problem, What are those? or is a DC electrodes only?
I'm a jobiest and small work that this machine can handle.
Thanks

In general, AC type rods run just fine on DC+

I've run a lot of 6011 and 6013 on DCEP, with good results.

DC welders should run just about everything provided you got the amps to run it.. but E6010 will be hard, if your going small get one that has a port for it if your wanting to run that.. my AHP 160 is awsome at running anything but 6010..

Unless he gets an Esab 161LTS, which can run 6010 very well, as they claim, and as many users have reported.
