Is bigger better?

Hello, I'm currently into welding training 11 weeks towards my 6-G cert., and am ready to buy my own welder, to start my own, small metal fab business. We have been training on the Lincoln Invertec V275-S, and I was planning on getting the exact welder, to assure that I'm totally familiar with it. However, for portability, and flexability's sake, was also looking at the Lincoln V155S. I will primarily be using 1/8" 6010 and 3/32" 7018 electrodes. Would I be making a mistake by going with the smaller machine, for what I'm using it for? Thanks, you Guys are very helpful.

I am sure you will find a use for the Lincoln V155S no matter what else you add later on.
if you need portablity, then you will be glad you got it. If you dont need portability, I like your idea of buying the exact machine you are familiar with.

I bought the welder, thanks for the advice. Now, will a 5500-6875 watt generator power it, or is it too small? Thanks again!
