[img] I just purchased an arc welder yesterday and i want to know (noob here) if the a welder can be setup for tig welding? I have a Craftsman 230 amp continuous control arc welder. any help would be great! thx in advance
"C.C."...stands for constant current ....if you can D.C. stick weld straight or revers polarity, you can hook the air cooled tig torch to it ...you will need the type of torch with a gas valve on it....my major malfunction when i use a stick unit for tig is clean arc stops at the end of a pass.you must turn OFF any "Hot Start" option,so you don't fry your tungsten also.
not bad~~O(∩_∩)O
