Hi, need some help welding upside down (overhead). I am trying to weld 5/16 angle to 3/16 plate. What rod should I be using and what are the tricks to it

Thanks

As in welding while standing on the ceiling or as in overhead? Hahah just joking.

Well its very similar to flat. In fact it is flat, just upside down. Don't let it mess you up mentally. When you have a long arc while welding overhead your weld will droop and will look ugly so keep a tight arc. Some people weld about 5-10 amps colder on overhead but I usually just weld with the same amps as I would flat in the same situation.
