Yes. Not to be confused with a carbon air arc torch.

True. I wonder if you can use air arc carbons. Small ones.

I was curious about this myself as I recently purchased an old 70 amp Lincoln 3 in 1 arc welder/cutter/Carbon arc torch, last I heard no one even uses them anymore.

Basically the same rods for both " air arc " gouging or carbon arc brazing - just size difference based on amps - "Machine Mart" / " Clarke" still sell them here - just never known a use for them - only rod that differs much is the hollow sort used mostly underwater for " oxyarc " - as a matter of interest do you have a use for such a tool ? I believe they were sold here mostly in the 80's out of " Exchange & Mart " for amateurs to attempt to braze car body repairs - not usually with much success & brazing is not legal for MOT so is pretty much obsolete especially with the abundance of cheap Mig sets.
