I did a lot of firsts on this job. One of my first aluminum tig jobs. Welded 1/16” to 1/8” and used roll pins. I also decided building doors is a pain!! Building them, not so bad. Installation is another story. Old construction so everything is off a bit and just tightening or loosening a lag bolt can change how the door hangs. Overall it’s not too bad but I would’ve use 1/8” plate on the back instead of 1/16”. The guy wanted it light so I went with a lighter plate but 1/8” would’ve worked better. Could’ve been better but it’s not too bad.
