Thought you folks would enjoy seeing how TIG is done here. This is why their machines typically have no adjustable power once you start welding. It's not needed.

not sure "enjoy" is the right word there :o

foot pedals is not really all that necessary on steel or stainless. its handy but a lot of it is done without.

i highly recommend not doing that blast weld method. thats a horrid way to do it. there is the slow pulse method (which works a whole lot better if you have adjustable downslope) but thats not really whats in the video.
walking the cup is a good method when used in the right situation.

overall its got nothing to do with not having a foot pedal or other amp control.

If that get's you by, then good for you. As a hobbyist, I need all the help I can get!

I'll stick with my foot-pedal TIG machine. :)

Yes they do and I’m getting one.

That video was their advertisement I had not seen for the machine I have. Fortunately it’s still in the box.

where a foot pedal is rather important is with aluminium welding. thats so you can back the amps off as the work piece heats up, otherwise the aluminium overheats and it melts away on you.

The iWeld machine is the one I’m getting. The Welpro is rare as hens teeth.

What part of Thailand are you in? Don't know if you are near a Hardware House but the one I used to go to had a good selection of welders.

Yes they do. It’s one of my favorites. But, none of the stores are close. With the Covid quarantine, I’m limited to looking online, which is how I found the video in the original post and thought you folks would get a laugh from.

I do believe that I had seen Longwell machines with foot pedals.
