I have a customer that needs just a patch in a Ti exhaust. He doesn't know the grade, and neither do I. This is a quick turn-around job and I have to order the filler rod since my LWSs do not carry Ti. Since this is a non-critical application, are there any potential pitfalls in just assuming it is grade 5? Any advice is appreciated.

I think Grade 5 should be fine. I think most exhaust tubing from Ti is Grade 9, but Grade 5/23 should be just fine. I have at least 20lbs of it, should you want a few rods.
