I just got some new glass TIG cups from Jodi and I watched the video on installing them and I can't seem to do it. The gasket gets all bunched up on the threads and leaks air into the cup and I get a bad purge on the weld zone. I have a #17 torch and I have a gas lens that works fine with my ceramic cups but the glass cups that I just got I can't seem to get the gasket to seat. I put some moisture on them when I install them. Any ideas? I sure feel dumb.

If spit don't work, try a little oil. Turn it too while sliding it on.

They need a lot of lubrication. The O rings are pretty thick until you get them installed the first time. Sometimes running the torch with a ceramic cup first so the gas lens is warmed up helps the O ring settle in.
