Hi,

I am ending bead by swirling , or moving to side or moving back a small bit. This was working fine but now getting hole with what lookes like 3 or 4 rings around it.

We have checked the gass and downslope, any ideas how to solve this?

Thanks,

Blake

+1

However, this can also be a result of welding tubing together and when you seal both ends of the weld, the gas and heat accumulated inside the tube has to vent. This can cause a blow-out at the final joint.

You don't indicate what you're welding or configuration of the weld, so offering this in case it may be related.

Thanks for info. I will try to fill hole. I'm welding 1 and a half steel in vertical but weld (PF over here). IIts for X-ray inspection. It happens when I end the bead.

If you have the ability to ramp down the amps with a foot or hand control then that will make the fix much simpler.
I have more questions than answers

Sorry friend, but lazy questions will get lazy answers. If you can't take the time to post the necessary details, settings, and pics, then don't expect others to take the time to help you solve your problem. People here love helping...when you've given them the tools to do so.

Hi Blake. ALL of the info above is what you are looking for, but, ALL of the folks are looking for more of what you are welding....1 1/2 inch,,,wide, thick, solid, round tube, square tube, thin wall, thick wall???? They got the vertical butt part and the steel part. Don't mean to be a PITA or some kind of jerk ,,, just the more you provide, the better the returned info.
