Not sure if it applies or not but, I chased a intermittent gas leak on my old Lincoln precision tig 185.
Wound up being a threaded connection that wiges loose on the dinse block connect that was under the plastic cover on the dinse block.
Figure I'd mention in case something weird like that applies to your machine

I started thinking about gas solenoid, but the gas test on this machine rules that out. Push-on connector must be the problem.
