ANYONE GOT ANY TIPS? i also have to do an aluminum tube too so any help would mean a lot im trying to be the first girl at my school to get certified and this is the only thing i cannot figure out.

howdy-
no pro here, but a start may be to go straight Argon at 20 with backgas. trimix or helium is also an option, though more costly, and you would have a very expensive bottle of gas waiting for the next time.
argon will also work for the aluminum. keep the c25 for your mild steel work, get a bottle of argon.
just my 2 cents!

What wall thickness is the tubing?
What amps have you been welding at so far?
for 1/16" thick I'd start at about 25-30 amps for a butt joint.
very little gap. pure Argon. lanthaniated electrode sharpened to a point.
regrind electrode if you have a tip strike.
and check out the clip on how to tack SS.
