im looking to make a SS tubular manifold for a turbo. i got the flanges ready, it seems like the industry standard is to use 304 stainless tubing, my question is what filler rod would be best to use? seeing as the welds will be seeing alot of heat cycles and stress? thx in advance for the advice

I would use a 308L or a 316L

308 for 304 to 304 welds and 309 or 216 for 304 to mild steel flanges...

Exactly what I read yesterday. I think it was on the AlcoTec site but for the life of me I have no idea why I was reading that, I was looking for 5082-H32 to 6061-T6 rod which is 5356 by the way.
