I wonder what others do to combat eye dominance. I'm right handed and right eye dominant. I have tried to weld left handed but coordination is an issue with rod dip timing and steadiness with the torch. Welding with my right hand isn't much of an issue other than having a clear view of the entire puddle. I've tried closing my right eye. I've tried to position myself at a level low enough to the bench to see under the cup. I've installed a magnifier lens in my helmet. I use a Tig-Finger so I can be steady and close to my work.
It is frustrating to see the bead after thinking my timing and torch/tungsten length was good but obviously not. I'm really guessing when I'm practicing. It is time to try something new. Ideas?

The way to weld with your left hand is have someone take a picture of you while your welding, and photo shop it.
HAHAHA, I couldn't resist....
I welded my 3g all out with my right hand, but edit it, and your can weld with both hands.....

Just a couple welders and a couple of big hammers and torches.

You can do it. You just have to overcome the idea that you're "right-handed and that's friggin' IT."
Your hands will do what you train them to do.

start using your other hand for every day
tasks that your right hand would do.
practice just feeding the rod without
welding.
