hey guys as a newb tig welder i have a question.my welder came with a wp-20 torch a 1/16 collet,a 2.0 mm collet and a 3/32 collet, but it only came with a 3/32 collet body.i have been using 1/16 electrodes by just changing the collet.my question is will this hurt anything or do i need to order the collet bodies to match the collet sizes?p.s. it did work fine with the 1/16 collet in the 3/32 collet body.

Hi there,

I dont know if it will hurt anything, but I always changed the collet and collet body (we call diffusers in Australia) to match the electrode size. That said, I dont pay for them so I never had to just make do.

Good Luck

It won't hurt anything. As long as you can get the collet to tighten down onto the tungsten and hold it in place, your good.
