Anyone use 1% Thoriated (yellow) 3/32 tungstens? How does the 1% compare to the 2%?

Does your supplier offer the 1%? Personally I've never seen the 1%

It's some old stock made by Osram/Sylvania.

2% carries the heat better, I've founded with 2% if you accidentally dip the tip goes all furry and the heat isn't directed as much.

with aluminium is not much use, the ball dances around and doesn't seem to stabilize.

Any thoughts as to how much current a 3/32 yellow will handle regularly?

For the welding i do at work i use mostly 1% (yellow) and don't really find a difference between 1% and 2%
work just got the E3 ( purple) and the guys seems to like it
I need to finish out the 10-15 i have on the go befor i try something else
