Hello
I just bought a TIG machine and was advised to use Argon gas to weld stainless steel together.
But I also need to weld stainless to steel rods used to reinforce cement. Is Argon gas appropriate or do I need to buy also the mixed gas bottle?
Thank you for your help.

About 99.9% of everything you will weld with TIG will use argon. You should never use anything other than argon for steel, stainless steel or most other metals. A helium mix can be used with aluminum, and there are other metals that uses helium, but I doubt that you will weld anything like that.
