I was told that in Greece many years ago
I have no idea. Neither me nor anyone in my family eat any parts of the head. I know some people do though.
It would be very awkward to be the guest of honor and being expected to eat the eyes.
This picture springs to mind

That was mentioned in "my big fat Greek wedding " fighting over eating the eyes and chasing the kids with gross bits. I'm not partial to gross bits of any animal. And Indiana Jones is awesome.

We're all in jest here[WHITE SMILING FACE]. My spelling might be wrong here (it's all Greek to me) but dolmatie is the stuffed vine leaf (yummy)

Ahh, you are talking about dolmadakia :idea:

Fortunately (or unfortunately, take your pick :lol: ) most Greeks are not like the guys from My big fat Greek wedding.

PS This thread is in serious danger of catastrophic derailment and should be renamed to "What I cooked/grilled/roasted and ate today (whenever) thread (pics please). :twisted:

I promise to keep it updated with pics from Sunday. Just got 25kg of coal (@ 30€ :o ).

I can't say for sure it was a myth. Like any other country, customs in Greece vary from area to area so there is always a chance the eye thing is true.
The real question though is still waiting for an answer by a certain guy who used to hammer nails for a living. :mrgreen:

Well it seems that our thread has got out of hands :lol:

Anyway just a little job I did this week. I decided to walk the cup, because sulfur mismatch caused bit problems. Mainly undercut. Normally I would use pulsed current and free hand style with joint's like these.

Nothing to great today. Needed some place to store a mess of 1-2 lbs of rods. Added on to the cart storage an area for 10 small storage tubes. Still need to build the tubes.

this is a follow up from an earlier post where I expanded some storage on cart. I finished the storage tubes and took a pic with them all in place.

Do you color code the used rods as on the storage containers?

As you noticed the labels are colored by type of rods. Tubes labeled depending on what's in tube the system works as follows
Yellow = steels example ER70-S2, ER80-D2
Blue = Stainless steels 308L, 309L you get idea
silver = titanium
Orange = aluminum
Red = aluminum bronze
Green = silicone bronze and copper (currently out of)
Black = magnesium

Now short used rods work a little differently I have 3 tubes that are 1/2 inch in diameter. These tubes mounted on other tube rack where excess rods go or stuff I don't have room for on cart. Short rods broken into three classifications and labeled accordingly. I can mix a few of these together cause there is a physical appearance difference plus all rod I get is stamped on both ends so one end is always marked.
First one is Steel and stainless steels grouped together.
Second on is aluminum and silicone bronze and aluminum bronze
Third is magnesium and titanium

Size of tube makes difference to
1 1/2 inch tubes hold 10 lbs except aluminum each one holds 5 so aluminum takes 2 tubes reason for the other rack excess rod
3/4 inch tubes used for rods that I only keep 1 to 3 lbs of
1/2 inch tubes are mixed tubes with used wire at most might be 1 section of each rod in tube.

I've noticed your sense of details so I was expecting something like that ;)

I just color mine with a marker that matches what I put on the lids of my containers. But then I dont have that exessive variety as you so it still works. :mrgreen:
