So for those of you who do weld on smaller diameter tubing (3", 5", etc):
How did you practice the torch-hand movement when moving around the pipe?

I have a roll cage to install in a couple of weeks for a friend. I bought 20' of the tubing that will be used and cut and notched about 30 coupon joints at different angles and practiced. Even though the cage won't be on the bench I gained alot of knowledge as far as maintaining torch angle on small tube (1 3/4 OD). Al I can really say is get some and practice. This is with tig.

I have the same types of projects coming up and think it would be great if Jody could do some videos on welding small OD thin wall tubes.

Be nice to see what it's supposed to look like through the hood so I know what I should be looking for when I start to practice.
