first go at TIG'ing aluminium

Hey guys,

had my tig class tonight and played with the aluminium for the first time,

i found it much more fun than steel :twisted: and got some nice looking beads done

here's a butt weld i did after running a couple of beads on a plate (i hammered it flat hence the bead being flattened on the surface)

looking forward to getting my own tig setup and making something useful :P

Good on ya!

That's a nice, even bead, especially for an early attempt. (Shoulda took the pic before you got the beater after it. ;) )

You should have "dimes" in no time.
