Hey Guys,

I'm working with some "18-SR" stainless steel sheet metal and i'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with this and if anyone can help me track down the compatible filler rod AWS E/ER 18 Cb? We have been using the metal itself as a filler rod but would prefer to purchase some actual filler rod.

This is the metal composition
COMPOSITION (wt %)
Carbon 0.015 max.
Manganese 0.30 max.
Silicon 0.60 max.
Chromium 17.30
Nickel 0.25
Aluminum 1.7
Titanium 0.25 max

I would call a supplier such as Washington Alloy Co, they can provide the correct information and locate a distributor as well.
