Best all around Tungsten

Hey just looking for advice on an good all in one tungsten.. I currently use 2% thoriated and Pure tungsten as that's what my workplace provided but trying to switch so we don't have to buy 2 types.. We're I am in Canada they don't sell 2% lanthinated but the welding supplier here suggested E3.. I am running a miller snycrowave 250DX.. let me know your thoughts I am open for advice.. thanks

Hey mate , im having pretty good luck with weldporn's multi mix pink tip tungstens for both alluminium and steel.

I also use a Sync 250, and I use 2% lanthanated tungstens I buy on ebay for everything.

Several other welders I know also use 2% lanth for everything.

You mean they make more tungstens other than 2% lanthanated? :D

I've observed that inverters seem to do a better job with lanthanated tungsten. I have to say that what brought me to this conclusion was welding aluminum on AC and trying every color under the sun. The difference in performance seems to be more noticeable on AC rather than DC.

For me it basically came down to which one held a pencil tip better and longer. Hands down, the winner was 2% lanthanated.

The last time I bought it was a few months back and I got it from Jody. CK I think
