xmas came early.
after the slowest delivery ever, i finally got an ac tig machine.
its a BOC Smootharc 185 AC/DC TIG Welder. only really got it as it was on special at the mo and my existing lift start is annoying.
got the pedal for it as well.
what surprised me it comes with a boc (made by CK) flex torch with wedge collet and decent size cups.
normally entry level machines like this comes with cheap torch setups.

gave it a quick test run and HF start is so much easier and ramp down is great.
tweak it until it breaks

Switch it to AC, no Upslope, 50% Balance (that's leaning heavily to the cleaning side) and set it to max amps. You'll be surprised how quickly you get it done! :D
