I stumbled on a trick the other day for sharpening tungsten. Chuck it up in a cordless drill on low speed and take it to the bench grinder. Perfect grind every time, and no burnt fingertips on the stubby ones. I know I'm not the first person to figure this out.

I like to "grind" on my belt sander. Does a better job IMO. Also turn the tungsten slowly to reduce the spiral effect on the tip.

And get a wheel with a fine grit, I use a 120 and now want to go to a 160 or finer, anything less than 80 give to much grind lines.
