just started to watch the video, what's the deal with scribing with a tungsten, using air to snap it? Can it be some kind of real, or is he just messing with us, LOL?

That's the kind of dry humor Tony has. He is quite witty and one hell of a machinist/welder. Even better videographer!
He is very smart. Watch it through, and see if you can catch his wit.

This video explains the basics of TIG, and since we get a lot of beginners here, I thought they would benefit from it, and we would benefit from the humor.
I do like the tungsten scribe.....

the best one was still where he scribed lines, filled em with water and sprayed on WD40. which apparently displaces water and snaps the material. Its my go-to method of cutting material now!
