I've been Tig welding for over 35 years i tried many different settings .
What I found for myself worked the best and applies to both 4043 and 5356
I use an aerowave full feature
Pos 185 amps
Neg 233
Freq 83
Bal 70%
Lan 2% 3/32 sharpened with a small ball done on dcep
My flow meter top of ball at 30 with 8 cup
but with a 12 furick 40
With the 12 the black pepper totally dissapeared .
Now my flow meter may be different from what you have so pls keep in mind
straight Argon .
Ck 200 water cooled torch with a gas lens .
I tried many different settings and yes most worked to some degree but this gave me the shiniest weld
with the least amount of any pepper
I also will use zirc balled on a lower hertz setting for a really nice weld but it will wander on start up .
