Can you tig following the torch? Making weld pool and adding filler rod as the torch is moved away from rod in stead of normal way.

Hey there,

I have done this, but only in a really tight spot. The main problem is that the filler metal is going in on the cold side of the pool and therefore you may get lack of fusion.

Thanks, I figured there was a good reason not to but can be used in a pinch to get the job done. I am left handed so all ready going left to right. Have practiced a little switching hands but needs more practice.
