Tig welding tips, questions, equipment, applications, instructions, techniques, tig welding machines, troubleshooting tig welding process
I am very interested in getting into welding, mainly TIG welding. I have no experience at all. I am interested in your opinions of which welder to start out with. My friend has a Lincoln 175 square. I have been eyeing this just because it's all I know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It all depends on needs. You can't use amps you don't have. I am still a noob (in my own mind) I finished tig school at my local comunity colledge last year and bought a dynasty 200 and it was the best money I ever spent. Best advice I can give is learn from someone knowledgable and practice like crazy. The miller tig handbook is a nice tool.
