I have a bunch of old used tungsten bits. Is there a way to determine which grade a piece is, say thoriated from lanthanated?

Put a sharp point and run it on AC. The thoriated will likely cauliflower on you.

Send the tungsten bits in to these guys. They'll tell you exactly what flavor they are.

But probably way cheaper to just toss them in the trash and buy new tungsten
