I am planning on building a t top, and casting platform for my boat and need a little advice and clarification on what aluminum and filler to use. What pipe to use that is bendable and strong enough to support a person, and the filler also that has a clean look and corrosion resistance. I'm pretty new to aluminum welding and will be tig welding the platform.
Thanks

5052 is pretty common for marine applications. Anodized material is also generally preferred, but you can powder coat your parts afterwards instead.
Lots of Tuna Towers are built from 2” Sch20/40 material. You’ll need pretty high amps to do Sch40 welding.
4943 filler works well if you plan to have the work anodized post-welding, or 4043 if you powder coat is fine.

Thank you, I'll do some practicing with that material!
