Miller syncrowave 200 help
I have a miller syncrowave 200.
The machine was working fine but all of sudden started to melt the tungsten in ac mode.
I sent out the circuit board to get tested and it tested good.
I changed the bottle of argon but still same thing.
I think it’s stuck in dc + while in ac mode.
If anybody on here has any suggestions on what it could be please let me know.

If it’s melting the tungsten, I’d look towards the gas flow being a problem. You swapped bottles, but what about changing lenses or torches?

And definitely check your hose carefully along the full length. I literally just had to replace my 25’ superflex hose due to a puncture. Cost me a gas lens, #10 cup, a tungsten and the hose.

Sorry to mention the obvious, but do you have the leads the right way around? It matters in AC so the balance works properly.

I’m with Jack on the leads being backwards. Been there just the other day. Scratched my head for about a hour.

50 or so amps It will melt the electrode like butter.
