In a recent video that Jody put up he spoke about a "Freeze Block".............from the application I am assuming that a freeze block is any device that traps the argon while welding.

Am I right on this???

Hey,

If thats in the same vein as a "chill block" its a block or heavier peice of material used to draw heat away from a welded area. Trapping the argon is an added bonus . Thick steel works okay for steel if you dont arc out on it. Copper and Aluminium are better.
