Adding Helium to the mix

Hey there y'all, I have been wanting to try adding Helium into my arsenal but as we all know it hasn't exactly been...affordable. Recently I required an excellent source for welding grade Helium and I thought, "hell yeah! but, how do I hook it up? What's the right amount to add?!!" and then I passed out from excitement. All kidding aside, I would like some recommendations for good economical set-ups and procedures from those of you who have the skills. I'm a hobbyist, a stark raving mad hobbyist mind you, but still I dont want to have to buy $1000's of stuff to experiment with. So bring it on, what's the way to go?

After you've read through those topics, feel free to come back with any questions. I'll add helium when welding any aluminum over 1/4", but I have unlimited access to it at work. This have given me some experience as to how best to make it work, and I have some general rules about conserving gas that really apply with helium, when it's on your dime.
